Not sure where I’m going wrong but… The moderator group is synchronized with the “Editor” WP role. The moderator has permissions to do almost everything. Each forum has Moderator access. I assigned someone an editor role but their view of the forum is no different than a standard user. The only difference is they have access to the WordPress dashboard. Also what isn’t clear is when editing the WordPress User, at the bottom there is the section for Forum Profile – in this section it has “Forum Usergroup = Registered” but the registered is greyed out and it says “Role-Usergroup Synchronization is Turned ON!” So do I need to somehow change the Forum Usergroup to Moderator? Or is it like it says, synchronized.

Unfortunately I can’t show the forum as you have to be a logged in member.

    Hi @artisanweb,

You can manage role <> usergroup synchronization in wpForo > Usergroups admin page. You can edit the Moderator usergeroup and manage the permissions. And you can disable role <> usergroup synchronization in wpForo > Settings > Login & Registration admin page.

    Hi @artisanweb,

Please open a new topic on our wpforo.com community forum so that our community users can assist you with all of your issues. Perhaps you can provide the website URL and user access so that our team can also offer assistance.

Thanks. The usergroups were synchronized. The only way I could get it to work was to turn off the synchronization in wpForo > Settings > Login & Registration admin page (I couldn’t find this before), and then manually change the user’s forum access.
