Modal/pop-up help

Hi,

I have a hard time finding a way to add modals or pop-ups that will pull i.e. postfolio info or post contact and display it in a pop-up instead of a new page. How is it i.e. done on the plugin page in the WP panel?

I’ve looked at lightboxes – but these only show image and title. Have also looked at i.e. Easy Modals and similar plugins but these seem to turn the whole page including header, footer etc. into a pop-up.

What I want is i.e. similar to: Pinterst, Dribbble or https://armada.nu/#/catalogue so that when you click on an image/a project, customizable and dynamic content opens.
