mod_rewrite or PHP to serve cache setting?

  • I’m have no clue what the difference is between these 2 setting options. I see in the plugin that “Use PHP to serve cache files” is (Recommended). While reading an article from InMotion Hosting they suggest to “Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files”

    Not sure again what the difference is and if it makes much difference for my site.
