Moble Dropdown Navigation Not Visible

The mobile dropdown navigation on my website doesn’t work properly. When you are at the top of the page, the dropdown goes behind the first image. And then it is transparent, which it is not set to, as you scroll through the page. The menu only becomes opaque once you’ve clicked on something and then scrolled around.

I’m not sure what the glitch is here.

I’m also wondering if it is possible for the menu to automatically close once you’ve clicked on something. Otherwise, the menu stays open and you can’t see the page text.

I would appreciate any advice and suggestions. Do I need to add some CSS for the mobile version?

Besides this, I’m loving the theme!
