For the last four years, I have used WordPress 2012 theme. I have used WPtouch Pro as my mobile website provider through their plugin and have had no problems with my mobile website and the 2012 theme.

Last week, I decided to change to WordPress 2016 theme. After I changed to WordPress 2016 theme, my mobile website now only shows the homepage. I cannot get the three navigation bars to work. I changed back to WordPress 2012, thinking that would solve the mobile website problem. It didn’t. The three navigation bars don’t work.

I then switched back to WordPress 2016 and deactivated my WPtouch Pro plugin. My desktop site then showed on my mobile website. I wasn’t happy with it because it showed two bottoms. (i.e., it repeated some of the widgets like login and register.)

I then switched back to WordPress 2016. One thing I had forgotten to do was add the WPtouch Bottom widgets to the 2016 theme. I did that, thinking maybe that was the problem. It wasn’t. The three navigation bars still don’t work.

One interesting thing is that when I customize WordPress 2016 and switch to the mobile theme in the customizer, I can click the three navigation bars and see my entire mobile website. If I can get to all of my mobile website in customization, why won’t it work on mobile phones?

I contacted WPtouch Pro. They couldn’t find any problem. They think it is a browser problem and asked me to contact BlueHost. BlueHost couldn’t find any problem. The only thing I know to do with BlueHost is to do a backup and restore or talk to someone else at BlueHost to see if I get a different answer. I want to do a backup and restore only as a last resort.

I looked at the information about WordPress 2016 theme and found this statement: It says WordPress 2016 has “a harmonious fluid grid using a mobile-first approach.”
I am not sure what that means. Do you know what that means? Is WordPress 2016 not compatible with WPtouch Pro?

There is no mention of a mobile website in the customizer for the WordPress 2016 theme, so I don’t see how I could fix the mobile theme.

All I know is, I need help. Is there something I haven’t done?

    Thank you for your help.

My mobile website provider, WPtouch Pro, discovered the problem was a jQuery error pointing to the .js file generated by Power Pack’s JS minification.
