If you open the link I have attached, in a mobile browser, you will find missing terms from a couple of equations.

Is there a way to introduce a horizontal scroll bar, instead of letting parts of these equations simply get chopped off?

Is there anything I can do to make it better to read long equations on mobile browsers?
    Thanks.

Not with MathJax v3, unfortunately — they haven’t implemented automatic line breaks yet, cf. https://docs.mathjax.org/en/latest/output/linebreaks.html

You can switch to MathJaxv2 and configure it according to https://docs.mathjax.org/en/v2.7-latest/output.html#automatic-line-breaking.

Please note that we cannot provide general MathJax support. You’ll have to reach to the MathJax community, see mathjax.org.

Well, in that case, I will wait till they roll the update as they mention that this is high on their list.

But… when they do roll out the update, will it be automatically implemented via your plugin or do I have to add some custom code?

The default plugin configuration points to a CDN URL (cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/mathjax@3/es5/tex-chtml.js) that should automatically update to any new v3 release.
