Hi, i just started a website using gutenberg + kadence blocks and the kadence theme. Now i finished the home page for the desktop version, i’m trying to edit it for tablets and mobiles. Problem is that everything i do in these modes also affects the desktop version! For example, if i resize an image to make it smaller, then this image is also resized in the desktop view instead of keeping its own desktop size.

I’m not using any plugin or something besides kadence blocks and bbq firewall.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey,
Thanks for reaching out! How are you making your mobile edits? Have you cleared your cache? Can you post a link?

    Kindly,

I make it by clicking on the mobile icon from the settings menu.

    Here is a link: https://gyazo.com/053bc884d687f0c880aecabfd6cc2888

As you can see it’s a real mess, problem is that if i touch anything like resizing the picture or title, it will also modify them in the desktop view editor.

    Hey,
Apologies for the delay! The live editor doesn’t quite work for mobile edits. So do not let your live editor be a true reflection of the live site. How does your site look on the front end? Are you able to post a link?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

The home page look like this: https://numerical.fr/

So as you can see i have to make some adjustements so it looks like a normal mobile home page and not like the desktop one with half of the pictures and the same title and text sizes… Problem is as i said, if i modify anything in the mobile view editor, it will modify it in the desktop one too. It’s like these two modes are not separate, it’s just the view that changes.

So how should i do the mobile edits ?

Thanks for your help and sorry for the delay too!

    Hey,
When you say “mobile view editor” what exactly are you referencing? Only certain blocks allow you to make specific changes for mobile. Which blocks specifically are you referencing? Or are you referring to the customizer?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

Nope, i’m referring to the gutenberg editor, when i click on the mobile or tablet icon from the settings menu. And i’m not referring to any specific block, i was speaking in general. Actually i thought i could freely make the mobile edits that way.

So how should i make them ? How should i resize the buttons for example ? Or the images ?

    Hi @feumaxime,
Which block are you referencing? As I mentioned above, this varies block to block. There isn’t a global way to do this.

    Hannah

Well, let’s talk about the advanced button block for example. If you look on mobile, the two buttons i created are one above the other instead of being right next. So how could i modify them so it looks right on mobile, without affecting the desktop version ?

    Hey,
You can do this using the Row Layout block. Create a row with two columns and add an advanced button block to each column. Then in the Row Layout block settings you can select the Mobile toggle and choose to show two columns side by side for mobile. https://ibb.co/kX36VxK
    Hope that’s helpful!
