When I try to upload a picture with my iphone it loads for about 30 secs, than the page time outs. I cant understand that. On the Pc its working perfect.

    Screen picture

    1. I click the “Choose a picture” button

    2. Ios asks me to select a picture or to take a new one.

    3. There is a small thumbnail stored on the site.

    4. I click “upload” and thats the point when it doesnt work, the pages load, and after 30 secs there is a timeout.

Maybe you can try it with your mobile device?

    Hi Hendrik,

Thank you for the feedback. I have tested with my iPhone device and it works flawlessly:

Most likely there is another factor that is involved, such as plugins, theme, scripts, server settings, .htaccess, ISP restrictions, apps on the phone, and etc. There are a lot of variables involved with image uploads via the Web.

    Hey,

thanks first of all for your quick response, maybe you can be a bit more specific, becuase this seems to be an issue for many other users of the plugin, too. I know its not a bug or something like this, but more a problem with the integration of your plugin in the rest of a site.

What settings could I check to make it work? What should be included in the .htaccess file? I dont think its a problem with the ISP or with apps or the phone.

Its the theme, or the integration of your plugin in the theme, or the .htaccess.

It’s really just a matter of troubleshooting your setup and dialing it in. The plugin settings are straightforward, so there is not much to do there. For .htaccess, you can check to make sure there are no rules that would be preventing file uploads. And then the plugins and theme also are straightforward to test. In my experience, ISPs have been known to set weird arbitrary limits on services and the network, etc., so I wouldn’t rule that out until you know for sure.
