Mobile Sub-Menu

  • How can we initially hide sub-menus on mobile devices.

    example: comments.link-mc.com
    Currently:
    visitor clicks on menu icon / a list of menu and sub-menu items is displayed

    We’d like:
    visitor clicks on menu icon / top tier menu items are visible / user clicks on menu item / sub-menu items for that item are visible

    Hi there, hiding submenus for mobile (touch) devices is problematic, which is the reason the small menus are designed the way they are. If you hide them, what happens when you tap them is that the submenu will display for a very brief moment and then you will be taken to the top level page. We recently discussed this and are looking for solutions, but at this time there isn’t a reliable way to detect touch vs. desktop systems.
