• Good day everyone,
I am new here so please be patient with me.
I am also not a web designer or anything fancy like that
I bought a template and changed it for my business.

I find it slow on mobile and did a test on the site and got poor results.

I wonder if you can advice me on how to fix this in layman’s terms?

    I would appreciate it greatly.

I dont know if it will show you the results?

    Many thanks
    Craig

  • I find GTMetrix.com and WebPageTest.org to be helpful with explaining what the problems are and how to fix them.

You could also try Google’s Mobile Testing tool and follow their advice.

Thanks, basically tells me whats wrong but I am not skilled enough to fix it myself.

Anyone able to offer some help please?

    Many thanks

Most of these “failures” are in plugins (bootstrap, contact-form-7, owl-carousel, FlexSlider, and motopress-content-editor) and in your CherryFramework & cherry-plugin, and theme53002.

The vast majority of these are things you cannot change, as it would entail altering the code of plugins and Bootstrap itself. Not something you want to do or should do.

Elements such as fonst sizes being in “em” or “rem” instead of fixed pixels (such as 12px), makes them responsive to different devices. One could changes the body font size and all the font sizes would change in accordance, which makes it easier to style for responsiveness.

But in reality, for most of this, you are stuck with the sizes the developers insert.
