• Since the update, I’ve been having issues with the mobile version of my site. First off, there was a redirect to porn, which my webhost fixed and it no longer does that.

However, now my menus/header is all messed up. My webhost claims they can’t fix it. Granted, everything they suggested only made the matter worse until my site crashed completely. They were able to restore it, but nothing beyond that.

I tried reinstalling wordpress. I tried other themes. I tried turning off all my plug ins (I don’t have many activated). None of these resolved the mess that is now the mobile version of my site.

I need someone to help me with this. Please keep in mind, I am not a developer or a coder. So yeah, keep the answer simple. Thank you.

You can try replacing the core WordPress files. Pay attention to the bits in bold:
Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

OK, I did that and it didn’t fix the issue. I also tried deleting my theme and reinstalling it.

Do you receive an error message?

No, it just looks messed up in the mobile version. Every page shows in the menu under its parent instead of the regular menu. It doesn’t matter which theme I use. It does the same thing. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling wordpress. I’ve tried deleting the theme and reinstalling it. I’ve tried different themes. I tried turning the plugins that are on off. I don’t use that many of them. Nothing changed the messed up mobile layout. This happened since the update.

The site on PC and laptop is fine.

    There is no error.

Can you show us your site with the Twenty Fifteen theme active and all other plugins deactivated?

    OK. Did that.

Currently, I have someone restoring a backup of my site pre update, and it looks like it should, both mobile and regular version. I’m afraid if I do the updates again, the same stuff will happen.
