Mobile sharing is a paid feature, so misleading title

I’m sorry you felt mislead and went on to proceed with a 1-star rating (which hurts us a lot). The plugin is free but it has some premium features, including the mobile share bar.

This is stated all over your plugin’s description, FAQ and screenshots. . I don’t think we could be any clearer on that.

Too bad our rating dropped this much with this rating but it is what it is. I wish you a wonderful day.

It’s no surprise that people feel misled.

Thanks for coming by. The claim is on the plugin, not the feature. What’s your opinion on this? Should we remove completely the “Free & Quick Support” message? Adding a “Paid & Quick Support” would definitely mislead users as well.

It looks that you’re looking at us as the greedy for profit company, but we’re just trying to make it work for everyone. That’s why we have thousands of free users and some hundreds of paid ones. It’s a challenge to get the right message across for everyone but we do cherish transparency.

Would love to know your (both) take on this as words are more meaningful than stars.

Why are you putting features in the title of the plugin that don’t exist?

Can you be more specific? Apart from share tools from this major networks we state mobile bar and list builder. Both are paid features and the list builder relates to the subscribe bar to grow your list’s email.

Regarding the description and the title “misleading” it don’t want to sound rude but free & quick are adjetives to support. Do you think by changing the order of the sentence to “Support FREE & Quick” that it would help?

You have every right to charge customers for premium services, not that I have a problem paying if it’s worth it, but it’s wrong to advertise FREE in the title and show it as a paid feature once the customer installs it. Tricking customers to install and signup. Not a straight forward way.

All in the same line. What does that mean?

I’m sure that if I start arguing about phrase construction that we’ll be here all day because you think I’m wrong and I think I’m right. Just as an analogy, if I say “Tasty & Hot soup” I’m talking about soup.

At the end of the day, mobile share bar is a paid feature so I couldn’t help you get what you want (a free mobile share bar).

Anyway, as the goal is not to mislead, I wanted your opinion on how to make it clearer. Can you suggest an edit to it?

I don’t know why you’re blending in features of another plugin into this plugin. A lot of plugin authors do it and it is confusing to people.

The issue is that you’re saying you have features when you don’t.

I do understand rating is important for your business. But I gave a 1 star rating because I see that others have already posted this issue and you don’t seem to care and continue to mislead users.

I’m willing to update my rating if you fix the description.

Please note that changes have been made over time and we try to learn from feedback given from our users. Yes, rating is important to us but we’re learning along the way.

I’ve specifically asked you for suggestions regarding description as I’m absolutely available to change it as per your claim. Not because you asked for it but because I want us to be clearer to the users.

We’ve made it very clear in the plugin full description, faqs and screenshots as told before.
I’m looking forward to hear your suggestion and see how I could build something better.

You do understand what is open source. Please put the paid feature in brackets with a disclosure that it’s a paid feature.

I think that’s the right thing to do if I was in your place.

As stated in the description, GetSocial is an app store to all social media needs. Our goal is to combine several tools in one plugin, to make the user’s life easier. This way he/she won’t have to install multiple plugins or softwares to get to the same goal.

Defining features for our tool is something that we do in-house. We do ask our users for suggestions (actually the next 2 features were defined by the user base) but it’s something that we decide.

I’m not following your claim that we’re offering features we don’t have. Quoting our own description:
