mobile password protection

I have setup a page for remote access by the client using password protection and it works great on the desktop version. However, I learned last night that mobile users can access the page like there is no password. It shows the password login, but also all of the documents on that page (unlike the desktop which only shows the login until the password is entered). Suggestions?
