    Hey there,

While trying to increase our mobile page performance score, I came to understand that the Neve theme used may be the actual roadblock to a better score as shown on PageSpeed Insights, mainly due to the size of the HTML file sent to the browser which is ~1MB. This apparently has to do with DOM and FCP related errors I get there.

Any advice on how to improve that would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Mihai

  • Hi @nutrifix,

We’re constantly doing our best to keep the theme as light as possible, so from the theme’s perspective, we don’t have some recommendations that would make it even faster but I tried checking your website with Google’s PageSpeed insights and main things that I see is about external scripts (like Elementor’s) that are not optimized and also about images that could be lazy-loaded.

We recommend installing and configuring a caching plugin for optimizing CSS/JS files and for images – try using Optimole plugin https://optimole.com/, which will definitely improve the performance talking about images (their size and ability to be lazy-loaded + scaled).

    I hope it helps!
