Mobile not working – twenty twelve theme

    Hi guys

    I’m working on a site that has the 1.1 version of the Twenty Twelve theme, and it isn’t working on mobile devices. It looks okay on iPads, but not on a phone. I took a look at the media queries, and tried changing a few things there, but nothing has fixed it. Do you have any ideas of what may cause mobile issues for the Twenty Twelve theme?

  • collinsartworks, it was what happened to my site. You saved me my job! Thank you!!!

    tiffdotc: Did you update the twentytwelve theme? If so, the h3 tag needs to change to button; otherwise navigation.js won’t find the menu, since it now looks for button. Your code sample shows an h3 tag still; try changing it to button and test it.

    THANK YOU. I will now delete the new thread I started about the menu button that didn’t work on smartphones on half of a site. I had created a sub-directory with a new version of WP and a new twentytwelve and all was fine. Then copied the files (I thought) into the mother site in order to upgrade from twentyeleven and the menu button didn’t work. Who knew about the js files??? Now that I’ve updated those and all is perfect. So, again THANK YOU.
