• Hi I recently noticed the menu on mobile devices had stopped working. The menu icon is displayed, but when you tab on it, the menu does not show up.

I have the mobile menu style selected to be sidebar. But if I change the menu style option to dropdown or full screen, the menu seem to appear fine. Just not of I select sidebar as a style option.

    Please help!!!

  • Hello,

For the theme v1.8.2, the custom header nav widget and oceanwp_nav shortcode will only work with oceanwp header. I’ll suggest you use the oceanwp custom header (design it with elementor) instead of Elementor header – https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/355-how-to-create-a-custom-header

@apprimit So are you saying unless I purchase the Ocean Elementor Widget plugin, the current Ocean WP theme will no longer allow my mobile menu to display?

Are there any other solution to this other than me having to spend more money buying plugins?

    Thanks

    Hello @peonywang,

What @apprimit said is that you should create your custom header in this way:
    1. Create a header template via Theme Panel > My Library
    2. Set your header style to Custom Header via Appearance > Customize > Header > General and
    3. Load your menu template from the dropdown menu below (same settings as the second step)

None of these demand the use of Ocean Elementor Widgets plugin or involve any other kind of purchases. The doc shared is for reference on how you can create a Custom Header.

Hope this helps. Best of luck with your website

@wpfleek Thanks, but I tried that, did not make a difference.

What’s strange is on Appearance > Customize > Header > Mobile Menu, and under Mobile Menu Style, there are 3 options. Sidebar, Dropdown & Full Screen. The Dropdown & Fullscreen option works fine, but if I select the Sidebar option, then the menu icon on mobile devices becomes unclickable (nothing happens when you press on the menu icon).

Why is it only this option what breaks the menu function? Why do the other 2 options work just fine? This issue only happened after I did the upgrade.
