I just update the OceanWP to the latest version.
However this update shows the mobile menu even in Desktop view. How to fix this?

  • Hi oceanwp

Unfortunately that makes no difference. The Mobile Menu just stays. I was even using a virgin system to connect, after I did “save changes” in “scripts & styles”. The menu is just there.

Okay, do you use a system like Cloudflare? If yes you also need to clear its cache.
If no, can you create a pre-purchase ticket? I will ask you some information.

I have the same problem. Shows the mobile menu even in Desktop view.
    See my site:

Found the problem. There was a transparent caching proxy between my machine and the webserver. All works fine now. Thank you for your help.

Hi, yes, it is only a cache issue, you need to clear all your caches, then it will work.

I have the same issue. How do I clear the cache? I clicked Save Changes on Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles, does that clear cache?

Hello @rkveale, have you checked your site on another browser? If you don’t see the issue on a different browser, that means it is your current browser cache.

After an overnight sleep :-), the problem has resolved itself.

The problem was that the main home page would not update on the desktop but worked OK on mobile devices. The other web pages would update OK. When the problem was occurring the WP preview page would work OK but if I logged out then the old home page was all I saw. The other symptom was the mobile window showing up on the desktop but that problem also has gone away.

As an FYI, I did check on different browsers and it happened with both Edge and Chrome. I also cleared the browser cache of both browsers with no effect. I also installed a WP plugin to clear any cache on that end but that also did not change anything. Could my hosting company (Bluehost) have been caching the page without my knowledge?

Hello, on some hosts, there is a cache system, so it is possible that your host has a caching system that was causing this.

    Hello oceanwp,

I just updated to the latest version and have the same problem.

I’ve cleared the Chrome cache, deleted the WP cache via SuperCacher and turned off caching in BlueHost. The mobile menu is still there.

I’m using the child theme 1.0 and the mobile menu also appears in desktop version in the parent theme.

    Any more suggestions?

Hello @afmeckel, before clearing your cache, have you clicked on Save Changes in Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles?

Hi. Yeah that was the first thing I tried.

Can you create a pre-purchase ticket on oceanwp.org, I will need more information to solve this.
