• Hello,

I restricted certain menu links to logged in users only, however, the mobile menu still shows a placeholder for those links as “Restricted Content.” If a user clicks on the “Restricted Content,” they can still navigate to the restricted pages.

Luckily, if they’re not logged in, the page shows a restricted content message. I just don’t want the mobile menu to show those restricted menu links at all. The standard menu does not show them, but for some reason the mobile menu does. The theme developer told me to contact UM since the content restriction is a function of the UM plugin. Is it possible to discern why the mobile menu shows the hidden link placeholder still?

  • Hi @selinawdesign

Have you seen the Content Restriction? Please check and see if you can find a solution in that article.

I have seen that article and unfortunately could not find a solution. The UM plugin works fantastically for the most part and the restricted content links don’t actually show up in the expanded Top Navigation menu.

It’s only when external (logged out) users toggle the mobile menu that they can see “Restricted Content” placeholders for the pages I want only logged in users to see. Furthermore, the “Restricted Content” placeholders are still active links that take external users to the restricted pages.

I’m just curious if there is a way to make the mobile menu (shows active “Restricted Content” links) behave like the expanded menu (does NOT show “Restricted Content” links).
