• Hi,
My default language is French and I added EN.
On mobile, when I switch to EN, the EN homepage appears, but the menu stays in French. Someone knows how to make sure the mobile menu changes depending on the language selected?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

I have a similar problem. Our default language is Dutch, the second language is English.

Now on all the Dutch pages, the head menu is in English. Changing the language of individual pages stil works okay for the text of the page. But the head menu is always in English, whatever I do.

I didn’t change anything on the menu’s in the last months, so that can’t be the problem.
Our homepage can be found here.

The problem occurs both on mobile and desktop.

In both cases the reason is theme related. The theme is loading the content part by ajax, without reloading the menu. So, the menu stays as it is.
You need to do a full page reload when changing the language or, add also a menu reload by ajax.
If you need help with this, please contact the theme developer.

Thanks Coder for your reply. The cause could lay with the theme, but mayby not.

I first tried some other themes. Some worked oké, others didn’t. For instance Twenty-Twenty was okay, but GeneratePress showed the same behaviour as my native theme.

After this I changed the menu’s in the native theme: Dutch into English, English to Dutch. And therafter back again. And to my surprise this did the trick. It’s working again in good order.
