• hi there, I am really new to wordpress and the pinboard theme. When I look at my site on my mobile the background and the text of the menu is black so you cannot see the navigation unless you hover over it. I changed the colour in the settings and it then worked on my mobile but you couldnt see the navigation on the real site?

    Any help appreciated ??

  • Hi, I have the same problem. I did change the colour in the settings to grey, so the text of my mobile nav and site nav is now in grey. This is a solution, however I would prefer to change the background colour of the mobile menu in an other colour. Anyone has a solution?

Do you have a link to your site?

Responsive themes will use Media Queries to change CSS rules as the screen size changes i.e. from desktop to mobile.

You should be able to change the CSS for either the mobile or the desktop version of the site to get two different background colors.

Using Developer Tools within Google Chrome or Firebug within Firefox can be a good starting point for debugging these css problems.

    Much appreciated.

On line 2798 of your themes stylesheet is a rule making the background colour of your mobile menu black.

You can see here how it would look in white.

Creatrix …Your the best! Really appreciate your help.
My mobile main menu is now perfect, however which adjustment should I make when also changing the sub menu when using the drop down. This is still dark gey and I would like to change it to very light grey.
    Thanks!

Try line 2848 in your themes style sheet.

If you plan to make a lot of CSS changes then creating a Child Theme is advisable.

Pinboard has built-in Custom CSS – so that is where these changes can be easily made.

Look under Theme Options > Layout

Do NOT make changes to theme files – or they will be lost when the theme is updated.

@Ceatrix Many Many THANKS !!! All is working well.
