Title says it all, It’s nearly impossible to make my site mobile responsive. If I change the mobile layout it completely rearranges and ruins the desktop layout and vice versa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • The dark gray responsive modes at the bottom of the widgets panel are there to help you VIEW the site in the various sizes. But just using those to view doesn’t mean any change you make while viewing in that mode, will be for that mode only. Instead, you need to look for the small device icon(s) next to various options. For example, if you go to the Style tab of any widget, you’ll see the Margin and Padding options. Each of these has a small icon next to it. Clicking that icon opens up all 3 icons (desktop, tablet, mobile). If you then click on one of those icons, the mobile one for example, any changes you make will only affect mobile. Other options on the Advanced tab, Z-Index for example, do not have the device icons next to it. If you make a change to Z-Index while viewing as mobile, that change will not be for mobile only. It will be for all devices because Z-Index does not have device icons next to it. Z-Index changes are global, not device-specific, as are any options that don’t have the device icons next to them.
