• I’m looking to allow visitors to my website to download an icon to their devices which links to my website. I don’t want to have to create an app I’m happy with how the responsive website looks already on small screen selection.

    Is this possible?

If you use SITE IDENTITY in the Customizer, it creates the icons used by iOS (and I assume droidish phones) to put up a nice icon when “save to home screen” is used in Safari.

Thank you for the reply. I was hoping to create a button on the website to do this rather than relying on visitors to pin it to their home pages using their browsers.

There’s probably some JS that will do it, but it’s also probably device and browser specific.
