• Hi!

The dropdown menu on the mobile version of my website is not working. Nothing happens when you click on the menu. The menu on the desktop version is working fine. I’ve made sure the ‘Mobile navigation’ option in Appearance -> Menus is selected. What can I do to make it work?

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

It appears that the menu is only broken on the home page. The first thing I would do is simply clear your site’s cache, just in case something didn’t load properly. I’m seeing that your slider isn’t showing on the home page either.

Let me know if there is any difference after clearing your cache.

    Hi Kevin,

Thank you so much for trying to help me!

I installed the ‘WP Super Cache’ plugin to delete the cache. I hope that is what you meant. Unfortunately I don’t see any change in both the menu on the mobile version and the home page slider.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Sam

If you didn’t already have a cache running, then it wont make a difference at the moment.

Next I suggest going through your active plugins and deactivating one by one, checking to see if the issue goes away when a certain plugin is off.

Be sure to turn the cache off while testing plugins.

I apologise for my ignorance of the subject, still learning!

I will definitely try and let you know if it works.

No problem! I’m happy to help. ??

    Hi!

I was finally able to act on your suggestion to deactivate the plugins one by one and I have found that the only option to make the dropdown menu on the mobile version work is if I deactivate the Kadence toolkit plugin. Regarding the slider, this only works if I choose the fullwidth option in ‘theme options’. Does that tell you anything that might help me in resolving this problem?

    Thank you!

    Sam

The toolkit is actually necessary to use the theme properly, so the problem is elsewhere. Are you using a plugin for your mobile menu?

As for the slider, I’m not sure I’m following. Do you mean that the menu will work when you assign that slider, or does the slider itself only work when using the fullwidth option?

    Hi Kevin,

My apologies for the late reply.

The menu on the mobile version seems to be working now ?? Although there is some dark space above the topbar on the mobile version that shouldn’t be there.

The problem of the slider remains the same. If I choose any other slider than the fullwidth slider the homepage doesn’t look in order and the slider definitely doesn’t appear.

Also, sometimes I notice that the homepage is completely blank (without having done anything or having logged on for a while) and when I update the theme it works again.

Maybe the issues are related somehow? I’m really just guessing. I really don’t know why these problems occur and how to solve them.

I have two other wordpress websites which are practically the same (same theme, more or less the same plugins, etc.) and never had anything like this happen before.

I really hope you can help me because I’m completely lost.

    Thank you.

Sorry for the delayed response. I didn’t see your post until now. It appears that you don’t have any home page content enabled in Theme Options> Home Layout. Be sure you clear your cache after activating the modules to be sure that you’re seeing the latest version of your site.

The dark space above your topbar is the wp admin bar. It shouldn’t be showing all the time, so you likely have a plugin that’s adding this.

    @mdevathaire
Please start a new topic for all support queries. Thanks! I’m seeing your menu show in mobile. Though you do have some CSS in your child theme that’s throwing off the layout of your site.
