    Dear PayPal Support,

I need assistance with an issue we are experiencing on our WooCommerce website with PayPal buttons in mobile view. We have implemented a feature where the PayPal buttons initially appear at the top in the checkout process and then move down as the user scrolls. This works well in Google Chrome on mobile devices, but not in Firefox. After several scrolling actions, the buttons completely disappear from the HTML DOM.

The PayPal buttons are placed in a DIV container with the ID ppc-button-ppcp-gateway. In Firefox, the buttons completely disappear after several scrolls, even though the ppc-button-ppcp-gateway container still exists.

Could you advise if there is a specific method or API function we should use to solve this problem? We are looking for a way to keep the PayPal buttons stable in the DOM or to reinitialize them after they disappear, especially in the Firefox browser on mobile devices.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this affects an important element of the checkout process and impacts our customers’ user experience.

Thank you in advance for your support.
    Roccsont

    Hello @roccsont

Please be aware that custom modifications to the PayPal Payments plugin typically fall outside our standard support scope. Therefore, we can’t guarantee assistance.

For us to provide any guidance, we’ll need a system report and a sample of the code you’re using for this customization. In the default setup, PayPal’s smart buttons (like the express buttons at the top of the checkout page) are only available on block checkout pages, as per PayPal’s policy.

To proceed further, we kindly request you to provide us with the log files from your system. You can obtain these by going to WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

Once you have the log files, please upload them to our PrivateBin. After uploading, share the link with us so that we can review the details.

If you prefer not to share these details on a public forum, you can open a ticket with our service desk. To request support, please visit Request Support. Make sure to include the URL of this thread in your ticket for our reference.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to assisting you further.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian
