Mobile app order notifications

    Hey guys,

    We are trying to create POS system for a client of ours and since they have multiple locations we are assigning the orders to specific locations, then we have the users assigned to specific locations.

    When a customer checkout on the site, they select location.

    Example:

    User A – Location 1
    User B – Location 2

    If the user at checkout selects Location 1 we assign that order to user A, but the official WooCommerce Mobile app also sends notifications to user B.

    We are using the rest API filter to hide the orders that are not supposed to be seen but we cant prevent the notification from sending.

    Is there any workaround for this? The alternative is to deploy our own version of the app and do validation before sending the notification if the user has permission to see the order.

    To take a better look, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    To clarify, are those user A and user B shop/location managers?
    If a customer chooses location A at checkout, you’d like to assign the order to location A, and only the manager of location A can see that order? If yes, that’s related to the plugin below. You’d want to reach out to the developer of the plugin directly for further assistance.

    Hey @maykato,

    I get that, this is not a WooCommerce core feature. My question is more about where is the trigger located in the connection between Jetpack and our store. Then we can manually prevent sending the notifications from our store?

    It looks like the plugin that Maykato mentioned, handles these notifications since one of their options is to:

    Orders emails to the Locations email ID and WooCommerce locations Managers when an order is assigned to them

    I’d recommend checking out directly with them on how to prevent these notifications from being sent!

    @chiape I’m talking about the mobile app on-screen notifications. I did some more testing and it looks like wordpress.com sends the notification to every connected user as I used filters to prevent the notification from going out.     You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack.

    We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.

    I am also getting a 403 error on your site, this may be related to your .htaccess file. I’d recommend checking it first!
