I just updated from version 3.8.3. to 3.9.1, and now MLA is not working.
When I go to the Media->Assistant back end page, and select several images for bulk edit, and click the Apply button; MLA reports back that no changes were detected ‘instead of opening the bulk editor.

Furthermore, clicking the Screen Options (or) Help tabs at the top of the page ‘does nothing as well.

I am using WP version 3.9.1.

Upon further checks – where I disabled plugins and then reactivated them one at a time ‘I discovered the plugin causing the conflict was “Shift Nav Pro”.

Thanks for your report and for the time you took to narrow down you issue to some interaction with ShiftNav.

I will download the ShiftNav – Responsive Mobile Menu free version from the WordPress repository and have a look.

Since you say “clicking the Screen Options (or) Help tabs at the top of the page does nothing as well“, I’m not sure this is an MLA issue. Both of those dropdown areas are standard WordPress features. Do those features work if you disable MLA? What version of MLA are you using?

Thanks for any further information you can give me.

    Well, that was interesting…

I installed and activated the ShiftNav – Responsive Mobile Menu free version and was able to reproduce the symptoms you reported. ShiftNav loads the Media Manager Modal Window code, even though there’s no “Add Media” button on the Media/Assistant screen. That in turn loads one of the MLA scripts and there is a naming conflict among the MLA scripts that caused the problem.

Thank you for uncovering an obscure defect in my plugin, which I have fixed.

The fix will be in my next release, but that may take a while. If you would like an interim copy of the plugin with the fix, please contact me and I will send it to you. You can use the Contact Us page at our web site:

Thanks for identifying this issue and for your patience while I tracked it down. I will leave this topic unresolved until the next version is released.

I have released MLA version 1.83, which contains a fix for the Quick Edit/Bulk Edit/Screen Options defect. I hope it will resolve your issue.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you still have a problem after updating to the new release. Be sure to “refresh” the Media/Assistant or clear your browser cache to make sure the new code is downloaded.

Thanks for your patience and for your interest in the plugin.
