    Hello,

I’m trying to learn how to use a basic MLA gallery shortcode. Below are my steps to reproduce:

    1. Uploaded 5 images.
    2. Set attachment tag to “nrsi” for all 5 images.
    3. In Elementor, add a shortcode widget.
    4. Enter the following shortcode: [mla_gallery attachment_tag=nrsi]. Also tried this with attachment_tag="nrsi".
    5. Click Update.
    6. Refresh the actual page.

    RESULTS:

    • Gallery should appear in live preview as I’m typing the shortcode. This works fine.
    • Gallery should appear on actual page after I click Update. Instead, I see nothing. In Chrome web inspector, I see an empty <div class="elementor-shortcode"></div> where I assume the image gallery should be.

    Can you please advise?

    Thanks, Eddie

Thanks for your report and for the details you provided.

I have followed the steps you listed in your post and on my system the gallery display is working fine. I see the <div class="elementor-shortcode"></div> on the actual page, but it is filled with the gallery display HTML and the display is complete.

I tried this on a Post and on a Page and both are working as expected. I am using Elementor free version 3.5.6, WordPress 5.9.2 and the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme.

I do see that the “Page I need help with” includes an MLA pagination parameter in the query string. If you remove the mla_paginate_current=3 argument the gallery display appears. I am not sure how it got there, perhaps from earlier testing?

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the solution I suggested. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
