Thank you for this report and for your related MLA active with other media plugin makes adding Media on first row impossible report. Thanks as well for your patience while I installed and tested the combination of MLA and Enhanced Media Library.

Both of the plugins provide similar features. In particular, both add taxonomy support to Media Library items and provide an additional, custom taxonomy for organizing your items. Enhanced Media Library adds “Media Categories” and MLA adds “Att. Categories”.

As you reported, activating both plugins results in conflicts in the WordPress Media/Library “grid” view and in the Media Manager Modal (popup) Window (MMMW) displayed when “Add Media” or “Set Featured Image” is clicked. There are no WordPress standards or guidelines I can find regarding how plugins can share the toolbar or the database queries for these functions. I have not found a way to make MLA coexist with Enhanced Media Library.

You can avoid the conflict by disabling the MLA enhancements to the “grid” view and MMMW. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab and scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section. Uncheck the “Enable Media Grid Enhancements” and “Enable Media Manager Enhancements” boxes, then scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes” to record your new settings. I can’t find any similar option to selectively disable Enhanced Media Manager’s enhancements.

If Enhanced Media Library has some compelling feature that MLA does not already provide, let me know and I will consider it for a future MLA version.

I regret that the news is not better, but I am marking this topic resolved because there is nothing more I can do. Thanks for your understanding and your interest in MLA.
