When placing an order, sometimes the customer’s details are mixed up and no new account is created.

We’ve noticed that it’s not the same IP address, but probably the same credit card. However, the name and address are different.
Do you know why? Thank you

    Hi @cyberpret,

This is certainly unusual. Can you share more details, please? Have you noticed anything that’d match for any orders that present such issue? Such as using the same payment gateway, ordering the same product, etc?

Can you please share screenshots of the order notes of some of the affected orders (after redacting sensitive customer information) so that we can learn more?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:
    https://snipboard.io
    https://prnt.sc/
There is also a walkthrough guide here:?https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/.

In the meantime, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    • System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
We noticed that it was the same credit card and the same products purchased, they also used the same promo code. However, I can’t give you a screenshot, but I’ll give you the code you requested : https://gist.github.com/cyberpret/8c63fb487fbe668dce6cf2108ee68a96

    Thank you for yours answers.

    Hey, @cyberpret!

    Thank you for the information.

To confirm, you mentioned this happens sometimes, right? Every time this happened was the same credit card used?

What about the email used, was it the same?

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see on WooCommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy so we can take a look at the settings?

You mentioned no new account was created, so to confirm, were both orders on the same account or were they registered as guests?

While checking your report I noticed that your WordPress and WooCommerce versions are outdated.

Also, your PHP version is 7.2.2. We recommend 7.4 or higher.

We recommend keeping everything updated. Regularly updating everything helps maintain your site’s security, performance, and compatibility while ensuring you benefit from the latest features and improvements.

So please update PHP, WordPress, all plugins, and your theme to make sure things run smoothly.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!
