• I have a few pages with content that won’t be updated and therefore won’t require WordPress post functionality. However, the upcoming events, present on every page, are entered in WordPress.

So I have a file called events.php. It lists regular events (ex. “Wear it Wednesdays”)

Where do I place this file? In the theme directory? In the root directory? Neither seems to work.

This pages exists outside the default index.php, single.php, and page.php

    Thanks

  • Why not use WordPress Pages instead?

Where do I place this file?

It really depends upon what you’re trying to do with it and how/if it is supposed to fit into a WordPress site.

Using a template for pages doesn’t really work as the text layout will change on every page, especially when I get around to creating forms.

Is there a way to upload .php files as pages? That would work, but I didn’t see a way to do that.

There are a couple of plugins that will let you run php code within a page or posts if that’s of any help such as runPHP. The only other solution I can think of it to create custom page templates and ‘include’ your php files in the templates themselves.
