Mixed Languages

    Hi,
    I am using give WP free and think it’s a great plugin! thnaks!!
    I have created a new form and unfortunately the languages are mixed: some content is in english whereas the rest is in German.
    I live in Germany, but my website is in english and so should the form be, but it automatically puts in the strings in german, even though my site language is english. I also tried to check if it’s because of the browswe language, but that was not the case. Why is the form in german when my system is in English and how can I change it.
    I do not need to translate, as I know that the plugin is already in english, but I can’t seem to control the language.

    Hi @ensof,

    Happy to clarify. I checked the source code of your page and the language code is german:
    <html lang="de-DE">

    That means that probably the Language in your WordPress settings is set to German so WordPress is loading the German translation for GiveWP.

    There are a couple of ways to solve this:
    1. (easy) Change that language setting in your WordPress General settings to English.

    or

    2. Remove any GiveWP translation files from wp-content/languages/plugins and wp-content/plugins/give/languages

    Hey,
    thanks a lot for your answer!
    my system is actually in english , that’s why I was surprised that the german translation appeared. I didn’t yet get to try what you suggested with the translations files, but will do that and get back to you.
    is zjere another way to change the language of the form?

    just wanted to say that it worked great! I deleted the mo and po files and now it’s all in english!
