    Hello Prins,

Both the slider and menu selectors work independent of each other and selecting one should not affect the other. I’ve just rechecked the theme and can not reproduce the problem with the current version.

Can you elaborate on the problem a bit more please – do you mean when you select to show the slider without checking the menu box as well the slider shows but the menu is hidden too?

Or are you selecting both boxes at the same time?

Hello Nore. Im very excited to be corresponding with someone like you. i will call you a legend in this discipline because im in love with your theme. i also appreciate the fast responce to my problem.
im trying to create a website and the url is https://www.entersolgh.com/radio/ .
what i however want to achieve is to have the slider working with the menu above it just as you have in the theme homepage. looking at my website however shows otherwise. i have the slider but the menu is missing.

Glad to be of service Prins ??

Yes I can see what you mean from the link – need to go off and see if I can replicate the issues so a couple of questions if I may…

    1) Am I correct in understanding that the install is in a sub-folder on the domain?

    2) Is it also correct to assume that in the theme’s customizer section under the Home Page Options the Hide Navbar On Home Page is not checked?

Will try and give you a resolution if there is a problem as soon as I can.

    Regards,
    Zulf

OK I think I’ve figured out the problem.

Your server is serving the cached page and not the current saved settings.

In Settings >> WP Super Cache – click the Delete Cache button and then refresh your site and you should be able to see the menu bar. This assumes that you have the Hide Navbar On Home Page box unchecked.

Let me know how that goes and if it solves the issue.

    Regards,
    Zulf.

thank you very much. It worked.
i however have another concern. i want to know if the theme has fixed widget areas on the homepage where say rss feeds can be posted unlike the posting of posts.
If there is how do i get it and if that is absent what is the way forward?
    Thank you.

    No problem Prins.

As for widget areas – the only ones set to show on the home page given the layout structure of the theme are the footer widgets. These can be accessed via the Appearance>>Widgets as normal and any widget can be used on them.

The home page does also have a Home Intro widgetized area but this is styled differently to the normal widgets as it’s designed to be used as a text based introduction/welcome message area for the site.

I plan on introducing a top widgetized area in the next revision which should be ready for upload by the end of this week – if you can hold on for that you will get similar widgets at the top as you do for the footer section.

Hope that helps with your query,
    Zulf
