Missing X to close enlarged image view

  • Clicking on an image opens it’s the larger media version in a black window. There is no “X” or other way to close the new window which I’ve had on every previous WP site I’ve done. Is there a fix for that? Assuming it’s a theme-related issue.

    While checking the link you provided, I noticed that you are adding the link to the image, so it opens the image source link, which is why there is no cross button to exit from the image.  

    To open the image with a cross button, choose the Expand on Click option while adding the link to your image, as shown in the screenshot:https://prnt.sc/fg-1e_MdfuHK

    Hi Rohit, thanks for the reply. I don’t have the same media insert/edit options in your example. Maybe because I don’t work in Blocks? I’m using Classic Editor. Maybe I’ll have to find a Lightbox plugin…

    Sure, you can use LightBox plugin as well, to achieve the cross option in your images.
