Missing Users

  • Hi,

    Over the last month or so I have received dozens of email notifications of new users to my site. This is not a site that offers and public opportunity to create an account, nor is it required to comment. I assume these are spammy accounts. The problem is that when I login to my dashboard to delete the new users, there aren’t any. Nothing. Just my admin accounts.

    What could be happening here? How is this possible? Does this indicate that I have a security vulnerability and what can I do to stop it?

    are you using any membership plug in?

    because sometimes wp members and membership members could be in separate folders.

    Check all membership plug ins, users tab and subscribers tab if you have been collection emails.

    Good to put some kind of recapta on the log in or register form to avoid spammers.
