    Hello,

I am basically very satisfied with your plugin. However, I have discovered a bug. I have products in my store where the customer can enter data. This data is displayed in the shopping cart and in the checkout as a variation.

If a customer orders via your Paypal plugin, this data is completely missing from the order. Both in the emails and in Woocommerce.

Do you have a workaround until the problem is fixed?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi @fwkart

However, I have discovered a bug

An incompatibility with another plugin or custom code isn’t necessarily a bug, support just might need to be added.

I have products in my store where the customer can enter data. This data is displayed in the shopping cart and in the checkout as a variation.

So these custom fields are rendered on the product page only? Are you using a plugin or custom code for these product page fields? If a plugin, which one?

Are you able to share a link to a product page so we can review?

    Kind Regards,

Yes, the fields are only changed on the product page. Editing on the checkout and shopping cart page is not wanted by me. However, I do not know whether the customer has ordered directly from the product page or via the checkout or shopping cart.

Note: I have replaced the plugin. If you do not notice any incompatibility, I will be happy to activate the old plugin again.

    Hi @fwkart,

The reason the fields aren’t being included is because when the PayPal button is clicked on a product page, the PayPal plugin sends parameters that are specific to WooCommerce for adding an item to the cart.

The product_id, variation_id, and variation attributes are sent in the request. Custom fields are not accounted for.

We would need to update the plugin code so that custom fields are also sent in the request.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the answer. That would of course be fantastic if you integrated custom fields support. I think many would like it.

Until then, would it help to remove the Paypal button on the product page so that the customer has to go through the shopping cart or checkout?

Yes, I recommend you remove PayPal from your product pages for now.

    Thanks
