Missing “Useful API information and tips in the Settings > Vimeo Page”

  • On the free version features list, I see “Useful API information and tips in the Settings > Vimeo Page”, yet there is nothing on the Vimeo page that references this.

    I’m one of those that despises the garbage Gutenberg interface. I also do a lot of my own development. While I’m interested in possibly purchasing the pro version, I cannot find even the most basic information on the free version.

    I’m just a little frustrated, and I apologize for that (I spent all day yesterday dinking around with Vimeo’s PHP API with zero success).

    Long story short: I’m building a custom interface and would love to be able to use this plugin to handle the Vimeo upload/data return components, especially if there’s a progress bar/AJAX capabilities. Would make my tasks a LOT easier…

    Please advise as to where the API information actually is.

    Sorry if this confused you, those details are mostly for support purposes because there were users that emailed because they had problems using the plugin and the reason appeared to be incorrectly setup developer account on Vimeo.

    For that purpose i added more information about the api connection. This is what i refer to with the phrase you cited. https://prntscr.com/rz2tuv

    If you are looking for documentation this can be found at https://developer.vimeo.com, i integrated it myself and all the needed information is on that portal. I can agree that it’s not that easy to work with the Vimeo API because some things are poorly documented.

    I actually filed a bug report with Vimeo’s PHP API utility on GitHub (same username), believe it or not (did that after I posted here).

    Long story short (and I believe this is something you do provide), I’m interested in your plugin, to make my job easier, but need to know if what I’m hoping to do is possible, via short-code or hooks. ??
