For the last 3 backups, the log file said it was successful, yet although there are 7 uploads files uploaded to offsite storage, uploads5 is missing each time. Log files says:

2444.648 (8) backup_2022-11-29-0730_MySitecom_39e3c45032d1-uploads5.zip: uploads: Note: This file was not marked as successfully uploaded, but does not exist on the local filesystem; now marking as uploaded (/nfs/c03/h01/mnt/52126/domains/MySite.com/html/wp-content/updraft/backup_2022-11-29-0730_MySitecom_39e3c45032d1-uploads5.zip)
    2444.649 (8) Recording as successfully uploaded: backup_2022-11-29-0730_MySitecom_39e3c45032d1-uploads5.zip

    later in the log file:

2893.381 (10) There were no errors in the uploads, so the 'resume' event (11) is being unscheduled
2893.385 (10) Fetching RSS news feed
2894.226 (10) Fetched RSS news feed; result is a: SimplePie
2894.257 (10) Sending email ('Files and database (Full backup)') report (attachments: 0, size: 0 KB) to: xxxx...
2894.304 (10) The backup apparently succeeded and is now complete

While it was running, I checked using ftp, and there was a temp file ending in uploads5.zip.tmp, but unlike the other temp files, has a filesize of zero.

Note that the most recent backup containing an uploads5 file had 7 uploads files, the last one being #7. This one omits #5, but has a #8.

I guess I’ll download the files from offsite storage and look in the zip files, but it makes me uneasy relying on this as a backup.

There do seem to be 319 more files in the backup with no uploads5, with 49 being for the latest post that was not in the last backup with uploads5, so that’s encouraging, but I would like to know that all is well.

The host is migrating the site to a new platform this week, so I want to make sure to have a valid backup just in case…

    Hi Terry,

The log message above indicates that UpdraftPlus moved onto the next index, most likely because of the timings of when the PHP process was killed and resumed, but nothing was actually missing. It’d be useful to see the entire backup log file as it’d be best if we could work out how to avoid that happening as it understandably disturbs people though is actually harmless.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the response. The backup that ran overnight did the same thing.
I don’t know if it’s related, but the temp files don’t get deleted right away.

It is an older rev of PHP, which will be resolved after the migration, but this is a recent issue, and only on this site, so maybe not related?

How do I get the logfile to you securely?

Your emails come in from wordpress and seems to be a “noreply” address. Are you saying I can use that?

No, I thought we knew eachother in the physical world, or are you not the Terry I thought you were?

In that case, just post the log at pastebin.com, and paste the link to pastebin here.

Sorry, meant to get back to you. It had resolved itself. Now having a “The backup is being aborted for a repeated failure to progress” issue, so I’m trying the solution of decreasing the 400 mB break to 25 to see if that helps.
