• Hey,

Thanks for your great work keeping this plugin alive.

I’ve just updated to your latest version and the front end is working fice.

However, I use the classic editor and have noticed that the pre code icon is missing from my TinyMCE toolbar.

Is this a common issue, or any idea how to reolve it?

As a workaround I can simply just go into text mode and create the pre, but it’d be great to be able to cimply click on the (currently missing) icon & proceed from there as I’ve done in the past.

    Cheers!

Spoke too soon re it working *fine on the front end as I’ve found that one of my mulit-site’s has a problem with a javascript alert stating: ‘$test’.

I’ve reverted back to the last version, which at least displays okay on the frontend, but am still missing the TinyMCE toolbar icon for crayon.

Hello! Little delay, just updated, if still in trouble may let know

just added a new version, that is compatible with old inserted, and which you can edit. To add a new, just use gutenberg, via a Code block.

I tested it working fine all ways at axew3.com, before to update another site with the same. If anybody can test and report if any other entity need to be added it will be fixed. At moment for the little i tested it work fine for my needs.

I tested that now, the tinyMCE do not display. but you can use Code block, and add it to the page/post, while the code will be correctly parsed, if added via old or gutenberg or even mixed on same page/post.

    download the file:
    crayon-syntax-highlighter_Gut_Classic_11JAN21.zip
    on linked post

    Hey,

Thanks for the update. I can confirm that the unwanted javascript $test alert is no longer there and that the front end is dispalying the syntax high-lighted code correctly.

(Un)fortunately I’m still not using Guttenberg since I created the site many years ago and prefer to keep working with what I know. And, as you’ve said the TinyMCE icon is missing, but I cn always get around this by simply hard coding a <pre tag.

Thanks once again, for keeping this plugin alive.

    Cheers

Yes there is also the option to copy the content of a post into a new one, that’s the same you apply. As said, not re-tested into php8, so if something missed, just let know, i will reset a while the server to 8 and fix.

If any entity need to added, because still not well parsed, you may know how to resolve, as explained on post, but in any case let know, so all we can update!

I will follow along the time if any problem will come out in my side as well.

    Cheers!
