• I’m missing the Primary Menu checkbox under Menu Settings/Theme Locations on the Appearance/Menus and would desperately like it back to make sure of its status – checked or unchecked.

I clicked it once I’m sure and then it disappeared although Auto Add Pages/Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu is visible.

    TIA

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The Primary checkbox is generated by a theme that has a ‘Primary’ menu location. Whether or not it appears would depend on your theme. What theme are you using?

I’m modifying the new seventeen WP theme.

Are you modifying it directly, or through a child theme. Those checkboxes are added with the register_nav_menu() function. If you changed or remove an instance of this they checkboxes won’t appear. In Twenty Seventeen this is part of the twentyseventeen_setup() function in functions.php
