Missing template files in Page Editor

  • Unbelievable. Just wasted an entire Friday evening trying to fix this….and wouldn’t have fixed it if not for a post by Steven Bradley at vanseodesign.com.

    A handful of my templates were showing but the majority weren’t when I tried to edit a page. Tried everything.

    Solution….changed:

    <?php /* Template Name: xxxx */ ?>

    to:

    <?php
/* Template Name: xxxx */
?>

    in the template file.
