After a data restoration, I realize that these 2 tables are missing. No wonder I can’t set up 2FA (the settings aren’t saved). Is there any way to re-create these 2 tables with the existing installation or do I have to remove Wordfence completely and re-install?

    wp_wfls_2fa_secrets
    wp_wfls_settings

    Thanks

Hi @vuster and thanks for your question.

Are those tables missing when you check the within database itself, or are they being reported missing in a message you’re receiving within WordPress?

I ask as we have seen cases where the data restoration process sets the storage engine to MyISAM instead of InnoDB for those two tables. If you are able to access your database, changing those two tables’ storage engine to InnoDB will do the trick!

If the tables are physically missing entirely from the database, please try deactivating and reactivating the Wordfence plugin, as when these tables are dropped, they are created on plugin activation. If your backup predates the addition of these tables in May 2019, the tables will not have been present at this time so will need creating using this method also.

Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,

    Peter.
