Happyfiles does not seem to work on featured image. The categories are not loaded, maybe a recent bug or not yet supported?

    Hey!

Running on the latest version and wordpress 5.5. Only plugins that I guess would interfere with media could be ACF, shortpixel, shortpixel AI or Yoast. Or maybe Polylang?

Let me know and I may be able to grant access to staging

@alriksson Please do not offer @codeer access to any site, staging, demo or otherwise. They can get into real trouble for accepting that offer. I have archived their reply.

Had they made that offer (they did not, I am just explaining) then this would be the reply.

While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.

If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.

Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:

    You get the idea.

We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.

When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That’s how we get the next generation of developers.

WHOOPS! @codeer did make that request. I have archived that reply as well and flagged their account for moderation.

    Hey @alriksson,

As my last comment was deleted, let me try this:

Can you disable all plugins except HappyFiles to check if the issue still exists?

Could you share a screenshot of the WordPress page where the categories aren’t loaded when viewing the featured image modal? Ideally with the developer console open, so I can see any error output. That would be great ??

    Thank you,
    Thomas

    Hi @alriksson,

As reported by other HappyFiles 1.3.1 users, the featured image bug has been resolved. That is why I’ll close this issue for now. If you are for some reason still experiencing this issue, please let me know in the comments.

    All the best,
    Thomas

    Hi @codeer

I have same issue after update WP5.6. I have checked with all the plugin disabled, but only when using featured image selection has this issue. All other area like ACF image field, media library are working fine.
Are you aware same issue from other user with WP 5.6?

    Same issue here:
don’t see happy files UI in the featured image add screen.
    WordPress 5.6
    Happyfiles 1.5.1
