Currently the maximum available size (original) image is used –
resulting in very long download times and unnecessary traffic.
Proper srcset should be used so the correct WordPress generated thumbnail is picked.

  • Hi @strarsis you are right, the script is not very mobile friendly (it was created before the mobile era) but this should be addressed in the upcoming integration of the much more recent fancyBox 3 script ??

@ravanh: Please be aware that fancyBox 3 isn’t completely free, there are restrictions for commercial sites – see https://fancyapps.com/fancybox/3/#license.
There aren’t any OpenSource or completely unrestrictred Lightbox scripts with mobile support/that are responsive?

Yes, I’m aware ?? that’s why it has not yet been integrated. I’ll have to find a user-friendly way to make that script optional without actually pre-including it in the plugin…

Yes there most likely are other light box scripts that have a GPL or compatible license. There are other WP plugins for those to be found on the repository. If not, or if no monger maintained, let me know and I might create a new plugin ??
