    Hi
I have a rather strange problem when im using your super RSS reader which i have enjoyed for a long time but now when im using your plugin my menues are not clickable as soon as a submenu is in touch with text from rss super reader please see this photo:
    Error in my menus
    https://ibb.co/TqZdxfz
You can see that the bottom of the gray menu is not visable, solid over the text from the RSS reader plugin BUT if i try another rff plugin like this, the menu are working fine, are solid on top of the rss text

From another RSS reader – no problem with menu, colour solid
    https://ibb.co/cxv7dfR

I wonder if you have an idea what im doing wrong since i cant use your plugin with my menues from my theme “GeneratePressVersion: 3.1.0”

    Hi @fimo66,

No worries. It is simply that the menu is displaying below the SRR.

May be the theme made an update and something broke. There is no change from SRR side.

Can you please share your website URL ? I can suggest CSS to fix this.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi again,

I was wondering if you had time to look at this possible CSS fix for this issue
i have with my site + SRR or do you think its not an easy fix so it might require a much more complicated solution ?
    thanks for any help, assist
    ??

    Hi @fimo66,

I tried to find the issue but could not point out the issue (a tricky CSS issue with the theme)

This is something a theme problem and applies to anything present in the sidebar.

There is some issue with “stacking” (z-index) of elements inside the “sidebar”

Can you please add a simple text widget (you can remove super rss reader) and add list items in it ? (i.e list item 1,2 to 10)

You would see the same issue. (I tried it and see image below)
    https://i.snipboard.io/MBJ8ZN.jpg

Since this is something with the theme my suggestions will break the theme design.

Can you please add the above text widget with a long list and try the menu ?
You can then report the same issue with the theme author.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi again,
Thanks for the answer but when i asked the same question in the theme plugin support, i got this answer….

“…`I think the color is solid, I’m guessing the problem is that the RSS feeds have a higher value in terms of z-index.

Not sure if it’s the case since I can see the code, but anyway give this CSS a try:

    nav#site-navigation.main-navigation, site-header {
    z-index: 99999;
    }`

but thant didnt work and when they wrote this:

….I’m guessing the problem is that the RSS feeds have a higher value in terms of z-index.

i hoped perhaps you knew what they meant about this RSS feeds have a higher value ??

i will also try your idear now….

    :o)

    Hi,

They would obviously point out the RSS feed widget if that is the first widget in the sidebar ??

Can you please try my suggestion above ? Where you add a text widget and add list items inside ?

This would cause the same issue.

Please share this example with them since here no other plugin is involved but it is just a simple list.

    Thanks

i tried your suggestion now please see if that is what you meant on my page :o)

But then again if i use your plugin with RSS feeds it changes to not being solid again.
im sorry if i misunderstood you…

I guess that is not what I requested. Right now it has no widgets.

Can you please add a text widget like below ?

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/addtextwidget.gif

Inside the text widget, click the 3 line icon and add list items.

    Save it.
Now open the page and click the menu. It works be below the list.

I revisted the page, you have added paragraph in the text widget.

Please remove that text and add a list like below.

    <ul>
            <li>This is a test 1</li>
            <li>This is a test 1</li>
            <li>This is a test 1</li>
            <li>This is a test 1</li>
            <li>This is a test 1</li>
        </ul>

You will see the issue with theme.

Im sorry but im not 100% sure where i should insert the text widget, right now its in the “right side”

    like this ?

    https://ibb.co/VT6Dd4R

and i have another test site now where the same theme + rss seemes to work or ?

    https://bit.ly/3tvjMsr

so i cant figure why its working on one site but not on another ?

but as you wrote perhaps its a theme issue rather a rss issue or ?

Hi, yes you are almost there.

You have 4 items under “test my page rss” menu.

Add 5 more items to the menu
Go to the page and open the menu

You will see the menu go below the list.

As you can see, this is a common problem and not related to any plugin in specific.

Please report this bug with the theme author.

    Thanks,
    Aakash
