Missing sitemap for multilingual site (Polylang)?

    Hi,

    First of all, thanks for this simple but well-made SEO plugin!

    I was wondering if the plugin is compatible with Polylang, because I don’t seem to find the sitemap for the language I added.

    My setup is as follows: I have the original site at example.com. The (new) English version is at example.com/en/. I don’t see the pages in English in the main sitemap here: example.com/sitemap.xml, and there is no other sitemap, like example.com/en/sitemap.xml.

    Can you please help me with this?

    Hi @littlebigthing,

    Sorry for the late reply.

    The plugin is compatible with Polylang. It just uses a different way to generate sitemap for languages. Instead of providing separated sitemap for different languages, the plugin add “rel=alternate” for each language for each post in the sitemap. So, when the search engines view the sitemap, it see multiple links for all languages for a post. These links are not visible to human, but you can see it when you view source.
