Missing sidebar on main page

  • Hello:

    I am running 4.8 using the Adaptivo theme. The main layout is a main column with a right sidebar.

    On all the pages that are not set as the main page, the right sidebar shows up. However, when I set the main page to be the “upcoming events” page, the sidebar disappears.

    How do I fix this?

  • Did you set a different page template for the “Upcoming Events” page?

    That is not a problem, that is how WordPress themes/templates work. You assign a Template to the page and it defines what shows up where. Typically people do not include a sidebar on EVERY page, so there is usually a template page without it in the code.
