    I am on version 3.8.5

it seems the shipping price node is missing if the price is 0

    <g:shipping>
    <g:country>GB</g:country>
<g:service>United Kingdom (UK) Flat rate GB</g:service>
    </g:shipping>

so none of these products are accepted into google merchant / shopping. How do I add free shipping products?

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Would you be so kind as to send screenshots of your Shipping Zone settings and classes to [email protected] and reference this topic?

We can than try to replicate the issue at hand.

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for sending over the screenshots. We were able to identify the issue at hand and push out a new release of the plugin (version 3.8.8) with a fix for it.

Just update the plugin and all should be fine again.

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Eva

    Hi,

I noticed this is resolved but I am experiencing the same issues. I am using the latest version (Version 3.8.9).

We have mapped the shipping however it is not showing in the xml feed. We are only using one shipping zone and it is free shipping.

Was this confirmed as fixed in the latest update?

    Thanks

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

The fix with regards to the shipping prices was not related to free shipping.

Free shipping is option within WooCommerce is a conditional feature. You offer free shipping when one of these conditions have been met:

Obviously when creating a product feed we can’t tell if these conditions will be met upon ordering. That is why we are leaving them blank in the product feeds.

    Hope this makes any sense?

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hi Eva,

    Thanks for your response.

The issue is that free shipping products have no <g:shipping></g:shipping> line in the product feed so no products are accepted by Google Merchant Center.

Can this be solved by setting a shipping cost as 0?

If the free shipping requires N/A should the plugin not set shipping default to 0 in the feed?

    Thanks

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

If the shipping is constantly free and isn’t conditional on a coupon or anything we setup a shipping class for £0 and assigned the product to that which worked for us.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Lee & Paul,

We have just pushed out a new release of the plugin. It now also puts in the Free Shipping “zones”. Just update the plugin and all should be fine.

    All the best,
    Eva
