For Some reason, I have had this issue of site getting blank. There is slight chance this was due to conflict with plugin update. Can this happen? Can plugin update break the site?

I have few pages that operate with [shortcode] used in <Wordpress editor>; and it has happened couple of times, that the shortcode disappears perhaps because a section is deleted.

So I wonder if this is possible that when a plugin is updated, it somehow deletes a short-code, where-ever it is used but when it actually copies in new version the section no longer gets it; effectively rendering the page blank?

<Wordpress editor> has caused me significant issue previously too, including “query limit” issue.

Yes, there are a variety of cases when a plugin update can break a site.

It seems very unlikely to me that an update would remove a shortcode.

If I understand your point, it can happen that a section becomes blank when it includes a shortcode. Hard to say why. I can’t reproduce the issue on my end when using shortcodes with Nimble Builder.

Shortcodes from which plugin are your using ? Attaching a screenshot of the problem would also be useful.
    Thanks
