Missing “Salesforce: API” from Forms > Settings

I’ve come across several posts without answers regarding the “Salesforce: API” missing from Forms > Settings:

Per the error message, you need to make sure SOAP is enabled. On Ubuntu for instance, run:
sudo apt-get install php-soap sudo service apache2 restart
