I’m trying to test checkout with Affirm and received this error: Missing required param: shipping[address][line1].

My form is stripped of the shipping fields because they aren’t required for digital products and it’s considered bad UX to have them if they are not needed or if someone has to fill them out unnecessarily.

This is a real encumbrance at the moment… can you kindly advise on how to fix this error?

This plugin doesn’t support Affirm so are you sure you’re contacting the correct support team?

Are you perhaps referring to Afterpay?

    Thanks,

Sorry, I meant Afterpay. What of the shipping address error? Anyway to fix?

What of the shipping address error?

The plugin is coded to use the billing address in the absence of the shipping address when a digital product is being purchased.

We aren’t able to replicate that error in any of our test scenarios for digital goods so it seems specific to your setup.

Can you provide the log entry that’s located within stripe.com related to that error message? It will show what the request looked like and will shed some light on why you might be receiving that error.

    Thanks,

Going to test this further on a staging site and if I can replicate it again I can send you temporary login details if you can send an email.

@sterndata I wasn’t offering to send login credentials via the forum… I clearly asked what their email was so I could send it that way.

Merchant had some custom code on their site that was unsetting the address fields and causing the error.
